The professional development team focuses on providing opportunities for current members to enhance their workplace skills for their service year and beyond. We are about creating relationships with alumni and current members for mentor-ship, providing networking opportunities, provide tips on life after AmeriCorps, and more! If you are interested in connecting with current AmeriCorps members and Alumni to see how we can help each other to grow professionally, we'd love for you to join!
Communications & Marketing CommitteeThe communications and marketing committee act as liaison between committee members and GLAN chairs. We aim to spread awareness of this group in order to grow our Lansing AC network. Activities include those typical in the communications/marketing field, such as; we do the communication thing with members and alumni in the area, the marketing thing, the upkeep of the website thing, the social media thing, the creating event flyers thing, and more things.

Social Activities & Service Committee
AC is all about service, so what kind of AC alum group would we be if we didn't have a group focused on service? We wouldn't want to know either.
Brown Bag Committee
In an effort to go along with GLAN's mission of connecting AmeriCorps with the Lansing community, the brown bag committee is solely in charge of planning a monthly brown bag networking lunch event. We'll explain: Each month, a different organization or company in the area hosts a lunch open to all AC members and alumni to come with your lunch and eat lunch, and network! Join us- we would love to have your input of where we should go next.
